I am so happy to be part of a team that knows the value of "stopping to smell the roses," even if it is in the middle of a 5 mile Sat. AM run. Beautiful!

There once was a picanic host
About directing large races he’d boast
The party he’d start with a swagger
By the end he’d wish with a stagger
Why didn’t the Canadian bring any marshmallows to toast?!

Some of you have the crazy idea of conquering me tomorrrow. But be warned! My rolling hills and mountainous peaks can only be scaled by the most hardcore of hardcore runners. No wimp(s) has ever survived the 10 mile trek. Not even angels can help you with this run. Utopians beware!

wimp:
after officially recieving the 'wimp' designation Tuesday, I will be sitting this one out for the first time in 5 years. Good luck everyone. I will be thinking of you as I live my new wimpy life doing wimpy things like sleeping in, reading the paper, and drinking my coffee.

former wimp:
Don't be confused; this is not an all-American wimp, but an import. I suppose the coffee is Timmies.

The TU Picanic committee met today and declared Sunday, July 27 as the date for the next Helderberg Lake picnic gathering. Save the date, details will follow.

JB:
Hey,
That's Brian Stratton bobblehead day and Giants Stadium Bruce Springsteen day!
Can tu schedule other picanics? I'll bring the wine.

ES:
Is there a TV there? If Joe Bruno is indieted on that day we all want to be able to watch the coverage on TV

Is there an "event" at Al's Place on the Lake this weekend? I saw a post on the webpage about it, but nothing serious as far as answers. If so what time, what is needed, who is going, etc.

the lake:
Al will be at the lake on the fourth, any and ALl are welcome to come up for a swim and cookout. I have plenty of beer, if I know that folks are coming I will get some burgers and dogs. If you come up unannounced bring something to eat.

ps:
There is a rumour that the wrestler guy is going to dock his yacht at Al's this summer, maybe he will bring it tomorrow.

ChuckNorrisFacts.com:
Chuck Norris does not swim, because when Chuck Norris enters the water, the water gets out of his way and Chuck Norris simply walks across the bottom.

I wanna know:
An event? A picnic or an 'incident'? Will it happen once or will it occur again with regularity?

Another Fan of Chuck:
Chuck Norris can judge a book by its cover

It has been confirmed that UJ has not joined ARE recruiting services after all. I am not sure why someone had decided to take his identity.

Business as ussual tonight at SEFCU Discovery center. There will be no cookout, little or no females, and the whole experience will be lousy as always. Nevertheless the ussual group of malcontents and other various undesirables will be attending.

insider:
I heard that even Chuck Norris will be at the Discovery Center tonight

Outsider:
Chuck Norris can have his cake AND eat it too

cooking out:
After the workout the malcontents and undesirables should call me, I will join them for a brew and bring some sunshine into their otherwise miserable lives.

Gov Swartz:
Chuck Norris is not a Girlie-Man

Hope to see everyone at the STRS / ARE Cook out tomorrow, I assume Frank and the Angels, and Al will be there. We are talking free food!

Local Runner (Tarrytown):
Wasn't the free food last Saturday?

delirious:
the Angels seem to se stalking the Al, if only they were fast enough to catch him

ChuckNorrisFacts.com:
Chuck Norris uses pepper spray to spice up his steaks.

Practice tomorow is the old SEFCU headquarters on route 155. AKA The discovery center... Don't stare into the parked cars.

Recap:
So Thursday 6pm, Pine Bush Discovery Center (195 New Karner Road)(aka Route 155) Wimps, hardcores, and newbies are welcomed. But, why can't I stare into parked cars?

sour grapes:
put it this way with the price of gas the teenagers cannot afford to go up to thatcher park to park... so the teenagers are now using old SEFCU, a.k.a. the discovery center as a parking facility.

ooooooohhhh:
as a "parking" facility

hotter n high school love:
it is a discovery center, isn't it? duh!

Charlie:
Bring a dish to share!

mcp:

So ladies,
When are we going out for that steak dinner?

AL,DB and BigMig

Chief Brody:
We're gonna need a bigger cow!

TU Recruiting Department:
OK. We had decided that we would refrain from imports... However to finance that kind of meal we need to win more cash and will have to bring in some Kenyans via Tarrytown. But for gods sake don't go any farther south. Tarrytown is part of the capitol region but Manhatton is not.

sour grapes:
Do I detect me in that recruiting post?

Justin:
So where and when is practice tomorrow? Discovery Center on route 155 at 6pm? Or the that 7 West Filet place at 6pm? Or elsewhere?...

Hey John P, I'm up here at the Colonie High track with a few friends of mine. We're just making sure that after I ran that 1:59.61 last night, that no part of the track runs downhill, uphill or even sides ways. I got a guy coming in a little later to test the gravity in the area as well. Plus, my steroid test results should be back by Thursday's practice. So we can count this one right?

I'll see you guys Thursday.

18:
ARE trail run Thursday is at 6 mile water works, aka Rensselaer Lake on Fuller Road. There will be a cookout after the run.

DB:
What's the big deal I ran that time once. We're talking about the 400m right?

not UJ:
Did you guys enjoy that fine tail wind last night?

Are their some wimps coming tonight?? I hope so. I feed on their fear.

ChuckNorrisFacts.com:
As President Roosevelt said: "We have nothing to fear but fear itself. And Chuck Norris."

Wimp:
I did not see my fellow wimps at the mile today but I have now gained entrance into the club as I left the mile race after 2 laps.

Canada Day was not good to this Canadian... Mayby I will try again on the fourth of July??

ChuckNorrisFacts.com:
Chuck Norris once participated in the running of the bulls. He walked.

Observer:
Wasn't it Churchille who said that--while smoking a cigar?? And he didn't run anywhere.

Another observer:
I heard that when the Boogieman goes to bed at night, he checks under the bed for Chuck Norris.

Another Observer:
Chuck Norris doesn't run because he only has 2 speeds - Walk and Kill
