06 April -- The 15th Annual Delmar Dash Utopians dashed through the ice, snow and wind (this is Spring?) at the 15th annual Delmar Dash Individual awards were earned by Jamie Rodriguez - 1st overall, Kimberly DeRocco - 2nd female overall, Kari Gathen - 1st female 30-39 and Jim Moore - first male 60-69.
12 April -- The Johnstown Easter Fun Run 5k Charles Smullen took third place on Saturday at the Johnstown Easter Fun Run.
13 April -- Dodge the Deer 5k Jamie Rodriguez made it three in a row on Sunday with another convincing win at the Dodge the Deer 5k run.
13 April -- Ruach Run 5k Individual awards were earned at the Ruach Run 5k on Sunday by Kari Gathen - 1st female overall, Russ Lauer - 2nd male overall, Kimberly DeRocco - 3rd female overall, and John Parisella - first male 40-49.
19 April -- The 4 mile Rabbit Ramble Three quarters of the TU Boston Marathon Women's team made a stop at Guilderland High enroute to Boston on Saturday to participate in the 9th Annual Rabbit Ramble 4 mile . They were joined by a number of team mates. Ken Plowman was the overall winner. Kim DeRocco was the first female finisher and Nancy Taormina was the second overall female. Age group awards were also won by a large majority of team members.
21 April -- The 107th Boston Marathon The women and men of Team Utopia showed their strength, grit and endurance today at the running of the 107th Boston Marathon. The Women's Open Team placed a very impressive 5th.
26 April -- The Bill Robinson HMRRC 10k Championship Team Utopia had another good outing on a soggy Saturday at the Bill Robinson 10k Championship Nancy Taormina ran strong and won the women's race while still recovering from The Boston Marathon which she ran 5 days ago. Helen Shekerjian took 2nd place in the Women's field. Susan Mochrie took 3rd place in her age group for the second time in a week. Jim Moore also placed third in his age group. John Parisella ran well and finished 6th overall. Kari and Kim were team cheerleaders and Mike M. provide his services as a volunteer for the race.
26 April -- St. Peter's Key Run 10k Jane decided to stay in Saratoga county and run the St. Peter's Key Run 10k today. She reported soggy conditions on a challenging course, which sounds very familiar to those who attended the Masters 10k.
27 April -- The Kingston Classic 10k Jamie Rodriguez finished 2nd at the Kingston Classic with another impressive performance on a warm and sunny afternoon. The women's team placed 3rd anchored by a strong 7th place performance by Kim DeRocco in her Boston encore. Kim and Michele Milton joined her on the TU women's team and turned in virtually identical performances. Russell Lauer placed 3rd in his age group with another strong showing.
